It's my firm belief that saving the Earth starts with regular people, and that real change can and must start at the local level. I started this column to highlight individuals and organizations in Evanston who are doing their part to promote green practices. From backyard chicken coops to composting in the school lunchroom to community gardens, pursuing a green lifestyle is growing more and more accessible. I hope this column will illustrate that, and inspire others to follow suit.
