Kenai Fjords National Park, AK
This was a NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) trip. It was the first week of four and we were paddling up to Aialik Glacier in the Kenai Fjords of the Gulf of Alaska. Although it was bordering ocean water, the landscape was different than any seaside landscape I'd seen before with rugged cliffs and black rock mountains jabbing out from the water. After a week of nonstop rain and clouds, the sun and blue sky really changed our team's attitude.
