Evanston rolls out fourth annual Green Ball

The event was a fundraiser for the Evanston Ecology Center, which promotes local ecological education and action. Check out the photos below to see what went down at this sustainable shindig.
Attendees got their groove on as local band Ear Candy covered everything from Michael Jackson to Cee Lo Green.
Local fashion designers showcased their latest garbage garb, made from wrappers, plastic bottles, soda cans and more. Glenveiw-based artist Mary Anne Enriquez designed this trashy dress (left), and sported a hat made from a Tide bottle (top right).
Environmental organizations like Citizens' Greener Evanston pitched their missions to increase the city's sustainability.
From kale burgers to chorizo bacon-wrapped dates, Evanston restaurants like the Cellar, the Peckish Pig and Bake 425° provided guests with plenty to eat.
The bar was stocked with local beers from Temperance Brewery and Sketchbook Brewery, as well as a wide selection of wines.
Art from students at Evanston elementary schools decked the walls, telling why they thought clean drinking water matters.
