Loyola shows NU students how to go green or go home
by Renee Wellman; photos by Hope Hellmann Wild Roots and SEED organized a trip of 15 students to visit Loyola's Institute of Environmental Sustainability. The facility, which opened in 2013, contains classrooms and labs, a biodiesel production facility, a greenhouse, and a cafe focused on sustainability, among other features. Thirty faculty members support a wide variety of academic programs relating to environmental sustainability, including bachelor's degrees in environmental policy, conservation and restoration ecology, and food systems and sustainable agriculture.
