Transform Your Trash: Sunglasses Picture Frame
By Aditi Bhandari Turn things that would go into your trashcan into something you can use again.
If Dillo Day was anything to go by, it’s obvious that summers aren’t only about frolicking in the sunshine on the beach. Regardless, many summer events tend to give out free merch, and nothing is more common than those neon plastic sunglasses. Even if you can only wear prescription sunglasses, and even if your closet is already stuffed with cheap plastic frames, you’re going have more of them thrust upon you at some point. So what could be better than to turn them into something useful? Here’s a quick and easy way to can capture your summer memories and repurpose these sunglasses that – let’s face it – you’re never going to use.
You will need:
- A pair of plastic sunglasses
- Scissors
- Sharpie
- Glue gun
Step 1: Hold the photos up to the frame and draw around the edges.
Step 2: Cut the photos out according to the frame shape.
Step 3: Gently push the lenses out of the sunglasses, taking care to not break the frames.
Step 4: Using a glue gun, stick the photos to the frames.
Time taken: 20 minutes
